Top 5 Beginners Vape Kits of 2020

Beginners Vape Kits of 2020

2020 has been quite the year, hasn’t it.

In every province, people have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and financial hardship is one of the hardest ways many have struggled. With thousands of Canadians looking to tighten their budgets and choose a healthier lifestyle, many smokers seek to ditch their cigarettes and make the switch to a more affordable option.

Although the flow of new vaping devices understandably slowed a bit during the beginning months of 2020, we have seen some fantastic new options come to market. While affordable, low-cost pod systems have been rising in popularity, we have also seen a resurgence of simple, back to basics mouth-to-lung kits. At Canada Vapes we are very happy to see this happen!

With New Year’s resolutions right around the corner, and thousands of smokers preparing for “Quit Day” on January 1st, a countdown of the top starter kits that became available in 2020 is definitely in order. If you’re one of the many Canadians looking to make the switch in 2021, we are confident any one of these devices can help start you on the road to success.

FreeMax Twister kit

  1. FreeMax Twister 80w

With SMOK ceasing production of the much-loved SMOK Stick V8 Series a new top contender for best Sub Ohm stick emerged, the FreeMax Twister 80w. We couldn’t wait to get our hands on a few of these trendily designed devices for testing.

Featuring a built-in 2300mAh battery, wattage adjustment from 5w to 80w and an easy top fill tank this stick packs a real punch. Unlike earlier designs the Twister 80w boasts a full suite of Mesh coil options for maximum flavour regardless of your preferred settings, making this vape suitable for experienced vapers or beginners alike.

Joyetech eRoll MAC

  1. Joyetech eRoll MAC

Many vapers started their journey to quit smoking with simple pen devices like the Kanger E-Smart vape kit or the Aspire ET-S Tank device. Wouldn’t it be nice if an updated design could bring back the simplicity of those early days long before complicated coils options and touch screens entered the e-cigarette world?

Well, in 2020, Joyetech did exactly that, and it was better than we could have hoped!

With its sleek carrying case that doubles as a charger, simple draw activated firing mode, and disposable clearomizers, the eRoll MAC starter kit blends the simplicity of early no-fuss vape designs with the latest technology. The system includes a 2000mAh battery in the charging case, so you will never have to worry about running out of power while on the go. There is no messy coil swapping with the eRoll MAC; pick up some replacement clearomizers (sold individually, as well as five packs), and you are ready to go for weeks.

UWELL Caliburn

  1. UWELL Caliburn

With the new Caliburn G vape device arriving at Canada Vapes shortly, the original Caliburn pod system that started it all deserves an honourable mention. Launched in February 2019 the UWELL Caliburn has been making waves in the industry ever since as one of the leading pod devices on the market.

With the option of switching between button and draw activated firing on-the-fly and a generous 2ml pod, the UWELL Caliburn is a vape for every occasion, with its small size and discreet colour options. It is perfect for carrying in a purse or jacket pocket when larger devices could be overly cumbersome. Whenever we get tired of trying out new devices with useless gimmicks and unwanted features, we always go back to my trusty Caliburn.

SMOK is possibly the most well-known e-cigarette manufacturer on the market today. In the second half of 2020, they released the third generation of their ultra-popular NOVO line of pod devices, the SMOK NOVO X.

The NOVO X is the first of its line to feature variable wattage settings to allow full customization of your vaping experience. With the launch of this device came a pair of pods specially designed to make the most of the NOVO X’s variable wattage. The 0.8ohm MTL pod has restricted airflow that closely matches the draw of a cigarette and is best used between 12w – 25w. The 0.8ohm Mesh coil features a much more open airflow for bigger inhales & massive flavour; it is best suited at 10w – 15w.

Love or hate SMOK, they certainly know how to make a crowd pleaser!

Vaporesso GTX One

  1. Vaporesso GTX One

As always, we’ve saved the best for last.

Vaporesso had great success with its Revenger X and Revenger Mini kits and decided to set its sights on a simple to use beginner’s mouth-to-lung device. By taking the technology used by the older GT coils they have been able to pair an easy to use, adjustable 40w battery with the latest in mesh coil technology. The result is the GTX One!

With a 2000mAh built-in battery and high flavour mesh coils designed for use at low wattages, you have a vape that will easily last you all day without charging. The adjustable airflow tank allows for complete control of your vaping experience, combined with plenty of great mesh coils options (0.6, 0.8, 1.2ohm).  With the Vaporesso GTX One kit there is an optimal set up to suit any Canadian vapers needs!

Well, there you have it, these are the top five kits that Canada Vapes knows and loves to share with Canadians looking to make the switch. We are proud to carry every one of these devices.
