If you own the VOOPOO DRAG X kit, this page will assist you to troubleshoot many of your potential problems.  The VOOPOO DRAG X is a well-made quality device, but with any vaping product on the market, could experience issues.  Hopefully, you will find the questions you have and effectively troubleshoot your VOOPOO DRAG X system with this information.

My VOOPOO DRAG X is not firing when I push the button

This is a surprisingly common issue that customers have and one of the easiest to solve.  The most common reason your VOOPOO DRAG X is not firing when you push the button is because it is locked. Your device can be locked and unlocked by simply clicking the fire button five times quickly. The VOOPOO DRAG X is shipped in a locked position to prevent accidentally turning on during shipment. If you click the power button five times quickly it should unlock your device. The LED screen will turn on and show the VOOPOO symbol to indicate it is unlocked.

The second most common reason your product is not firing when you push the button is because the battery is dead. Simply plug your unit into a Type-C USB charging port using the provided cable and wait approximately one hour for your device to charge.

VOOPOO DRAG X is leaking

If your VOOPOO DRAG X is leaking there are a few things that you should be looked at in order to stop the leaking.  Because of the tank & coil design of the VOOPOO DRAG X, it is an unlikely device to leak but there are a few common issues that could cause it to leak.

A) Over Filling

Overfilling your tank is the most likely reason for it to leak.  Be sure to never fill your tank beyond the max capacity of the tank as it will leak out the top when you replace your coil.  When in doubt, fill your device to about 90% capacity.

B) Cracked plastic

f you’ve dropped your VOOPOO DRAG X or experienced rough handling in your pocket or purse, the plastic pod may have broken. Even if you can’t spot a crack, if you notice leaks near the top, there’s a possibility that the plastic has suffered damage. Exposure to freezing temperatures for an extended period can also result in the cracking of the DRAG X plastic.

C) Coil installed incorrectly

The VOOPOO DRAG X features a unique coil that effortlessly inserts into the pod. Just push the coil until it securely locks into the pod. If it is in incorrectly then the coil will not sit flush with the device.

D) Drawing Too Quickly

If you take very fast, hard draws off just about any vaping device, including the VOOPOO DRAG X, your device will be prone to leaking.  Vaping devices use the power of your inhale to pull e-liquid to the heating coils and mix with the vapour. If you pull the device very long and hard, you may inadvertently draw some e-liquid into the airflow chambers. To ensure a smooth vaping experience of any kind, we recommend taking slow, prolonged drags.

E) Device Sitting For Too Long

You should never store any vaping device filled with e-liquid.  Over time the e-liquid will saturate your coil and begin to leak.  If you are not planning on using your device for more then 24 hours be sure to empty all e-liquid.

F) Flying

The increased pressure of flying will make all vaping products leak; even the VOOPOO DRAG X.  It is best to empty all vaping devices before flying on a plane.

G) Over Heating

If you leave any vape in a vehicle in the summer or in direct sunlight, it could leak.  Overheating the device can cause the e-liquid to expand pushing it out through the coil and out the mouthpiece, causing it to leak. Temperatures raising expand the size of the molecules of the e-liquid, and if your tank is full to begin with, your e-liquid will have nowhere to go but to leak out of the pod.

H) Freezing

Leaving your device in a vehicle or any area under the freezing temperature could cause it to leak.  This is because some parts are plastic can become brittle and are then susceptible to breaking under freezing temperatures. The ideal temperature for any vaping device is +10 to +25 degrees Celsius.
